Los Arqueros Golf Club - Benahavis

Los Arqueros

Set amongst steep mountains, the impeccable fairways of Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club merge with the spectacular surrounding scenery, affording the golfers exceptional views over the Mediterranean and North African coastline.

Opened in 1991, Los Arqueros is a challenging par-71, 18-hole course designed by the legendary Spaniard Seve Ballesteros. Considered as one of the best ever players in the world, Seve has used his know-how and prestige to create some 30 golf courses all over the world. The underlying idea in the design of Los Arqueros was to create a course which followed the lie of the land and blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings.

Seve took this philosophy to heart when designing the course, and each hole has its own particular personality. The result is a challenging course for the experienced player and a genuine test for those who are new to the game.

La Quinta Golf Club - Benahavis

la quinta golf club marbella

Situated ten minutes inland from the fashionable resort of Puerto Banus, La Quinta Golf & Country Club opened in 1989 with an 18-hole golf course designed by ex-professional golfer Manuel Piñero, that has since been extended into a 27-holes golf complex with the replacement of several original holes and the addition of an extra nine.

La Quinta is home to the European seniors tour and is divided into 3 courses of 9 holes, which can be combined to have more playing options. The course A “San Pedro” has open fairways and short yardage, therefore, woods and long irons are mainly used on this course. The course B “Ronda”, a fabulous course with narrow fairways and more difficult greens.

Surrounded by amazing houses and villas from the Spanish high society, this uphill course leads to the Ronda mountains. Finally, the course C “Guadaiza”. Although this course is easier than course B, there are many slopes and a few dog legs.

Los Naranjos Golf Club - Puerto Banus

Los Naranjos Golf Club designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and inaugurated in 1977 is located in the famous "Golf Valley" of Marbella and just a few minutes from Puerto Banus. In the summer of 2009 major improvements on the golf course, the clubhouse and the practise areas were concluded. The club now offers a complete, first class golfing establishment appreciated by both the average, and the professional golfer.

One of the Robert Trent Jones Sr. design concepts is easy bogey-difficult par! This is very much evident at Los Naranjos where you are often faced with difficult shots into the greens guarded by big bunkers and water hazards
